چکیده مقاله:

Chalcopyrite CuFeS2 was prepared by solvent process. It is used as an active species to produce cathode lithium ion batteries along with some conductive materials [1]. CuFeS2, a ternary semiconductor belonging to I–III–VI2 groups, is known as an antiferromagnetic semiconductor with chalcopyrite structure. The structure can be considered as a double sphalerite cell with an ordered arrangement of Cu and Fe ions in the lattice which are in tetrahedral coordination with sulfur. Because of its special structure, CuFeS2 has high conductivity (103 S cm-1 at 100 K) and good electrochemical properties, Therefore it has many potential applications in solar cells, lithium-ion batteries, detectors, optical parametric oscillators, and lightemitting diodes [2]. In this work, firstly, a certain amount of CuCl2, SC(NH2)2 and FeSO4, was dissolved separately in the distilled water and mixed together. Then, the optimum amount of poly-( PVP) was added to the obtained solution. The solution was then stirred at the room temperature, for 10 min After that, the solution was transferred to the autoclave and heated for 32 h at 190 oc. Then synthesized black powder was washed wisth distilled water and absolute ethanol and acid to remove any unreacted reagents and was dried in the vacume oven at 60 oc for 24h.
