An Overview of Cloud Computing as an Evolving Paradigm

The presence of cloud computing in our daily lives is increasing and we might reach a time that we could not bear its absence or failure. With its aid we could access a broad range of services from different platforms at various levels over the internet. Consumers are able to utilize these services on demand in a pay-per-use manner while, providing those services directly by themselves would certainly cost higher. Therefore, the aim of cloud computing is to deliver reliable, flexible and cost efficient services to the consumers based on their requirements.This paper introduces this evolving paradigm thoroughly. As a matter of fact, we will discuss cloud computing from different aspects such as characteristics, service and deployment models, architecture and related technologies. Our purpose is to determine the specifications and also pinpoint the advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing in order to provide a better understanding of this innovative information system architecture.
