چکیده مقاله:

Integration of renewable energy resources in smart grids has several effects on power networks. Demand response program as a useful strategy can somehow mitigate some effects of high penetrated distribution generation. Here we present quantitative study for evaluating the role of demand response program in power grid operation in several responsive load and distributed generation penetration levels. Power loss, cost of operation, service reliability and voltage profile is investigated in this paper. Results show that demand response can provide a beneficial balance between demand and supply. The simulation is implemented by MATPOWER toolbox as a package for optimal power flow problem. Also, we use IEEE-33 bus distribution network.
