چکیده مقاله:

Critical fatigue problems often occur in mistuned cyclicstructures since their forced vibration responses are often much larger than those of perfectly tunedstructures. Mistuning, imperfections in cyclicalsymmetry of bladed disks,is an unavoidable and dangerous occurrence due to many factors includingmanufacturing tolerances and in service wear and tear.In this paper, it is shown that even small mistuning levelcan cause modal localization and dramatically increases the maximum forced response level. A lumped model ischosen to calculate the effects of mistuning, stiffnesscoupling, damping, and engine order excitationon the maximal blade response. The problem of determiningthe worst mistuning patterns is formulated and solved asan optimization problem by genetic algorithm subjected to admissible tolerances. It is also shown that growingmistuning up to a certain level can lead to significantdifference in force response. The results indicate thatsensitivity to mistuning increases by decreasingdamping. Lastly, it will be shown that the worst blade isnot essentially, the blade which has maximumdeviation. The results provide some insight into thevibration localization phenomena of mistuned cyclicstructures and provide useful guidelines for safe and reliable designs of such systems.
