Vibrational Analysis of Piezolaminated Microactuators Using Nonlinear FEM

This paper deals with the Vibrational analysis of Piezolaminated Microactuators using nonlinear finite element method. A nine-noded piezolaminated degenerated shell finite element is used for modeling and analysis of micro cantilever to use in Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). This cantilever is relatively very thin and hence the shell elements are more suitable and computationally efficient as compared to the solid elements available in commercial FEA codes. Results are compared with available experiment, introduce by some researchers before this.
