In this paper we tried to examine whether Pivotal response treatment(PRT) would be effective on adaptive behaviors.Materials & Method: The research method was quasi-experimental with case-control. Eleven children diagnosed with ASD according to Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, fifth edition (DSM-5) was selected. Adaptive Behavioral were evaluated with the Vineland test in two phases, before and after intervention (24 sessions). Findings: Results showed adaptive behaviors were improved after 3 months intervention (p < 0.05).Conclusion: PRT can improve adaptive behavioral problems, such as social skill, in children with ASD. The results of this study can provide a good approach to speech and language pathologists and all experts who are associated with these children.
