Effect of synthetic parameters on adhesion properties of acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesives

Nowadays new methods of transdermal drug delivery have been used instead of old ones (oral, injection and so on). However, choosing an appropriate adhesive as a drug carrier is still one of the most important problems in this new method. Among different kinds of adhesives, solution acrylic adhesives have been widely used in this field due to their great advantages over the others. At first, in this work, the effects of the initiator variants and temperature on the adhesion properties of the solution pressure-sensitive acrylic glue were investigated. After that, Design Expert tool was used for planning the experiments to investigate adhesion properties Tack and Peel test. After all, GPC analysis was performed for evaluation of the former tests. At the end, sample with the 1.07 wt% initiator which had been synthesized at 70 oC owned the best properties
