چکیده مقاله:
In this study ZnO nanoparticles were incorporated into blend of poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and agar. These hydrogels were characterized by swelling degree and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Besides these characterizations, the antibacterial activity of the hydrogel was tested, and the hydrogels containing ZnO nanoparticles showed antibacterial activity against the Bacillus subtilis bacterial species. The observed antibacterial activity in the PVA/Agar/ZnO nanocomposite hydrogel suggests that they can be used as hydrophilic wound and burn dressings
