چکیده مقاله:
The study of liquid surfaces, as a region between two phases, represents the main field of research for many workers. Molecules in liquid surface have different forces, interactions, orientations and surface area as compared with molecule in liquid bulk [1]. Among methods that have studied structure and property of material in liquid surface, surface tension of liquid is an important transport property that shows information about surface and exerts a considerable influence on the transfer of mass and energy across interface. By the way, surface properties of non-electrolyte solutions often reflected the interactions of hydrophobic parts of the guest molecules adsorbed at the liquid vapor interface. An estimate of surface property is required in many industry including separation processes, adsorption, distillation and in the performance of biological membranes, to mention just a few examples [2]. In this paper we report experimental surface tensions for binary mixtures of a homologues series of aliphatic alcohols with n-alkyl acetates obtained using ring detachment method. Also surface tension deviations were calculated from experimental data and have been fitted to the Redlich-Kister type polynomial relation and the corresponding parameters have been derived [4].
