Hysteresis Curves Analysis of Cyclic Indentation Tests

Cyclic Vickers indentation test was modeled by finite element method. Theindented material behavior was considered as nonlinear kinematic hardening. five different combinations of material model parameters were used for modeling. Maximum displacement was fixed and the variation of the maximum load and residual displacement were obtained. Their variations were found to be linear and can be used to characterize the nonlinear behavior of materials.
