چکیده مقاله:

Today with the current focus on sustainability, it is necessary to evaluate concrete’s structures environmental impact properly. In order to improve the durability and sustainability of the concrete industry in different regions, it is essential to understand the effect of regional context considering the widely varying social-economic conditions present in concrete residential buildings. Moreover, introducing the concept of life cycle Durability assessment (LCDA) to the building industry is important because it can measure every environmental impact involved in every process from cradle to grave systematically. This was undertaken to review the LCDA methods and to distinguish phases and materials that effect on the environment significantly, and also to qualitatively understand the relationship between regional context and sustainable concrete structures considering the cases of residential buildings through studies on concrete industry. Through the study, an application of the proposed framework for the life cycle assessment concerning concrete structures in specific regions is presented.
