The Design and manufacturing of fractal double band microstrip antenna for RFID application

This article introduces a fractal double-band micro strip antenna for using in two frequency bands of 915MHz and 2.4 GHz. A typical fractal is used on antenna ground structure to increase the gain of the antenna without changing the length of the antenna. The antenna is built on a substrate of FR4 having 4.4 dielectric constant and a 0.02 loss tangent with the dimensions of the antenna are 55*55*1.6 mm. We use HFSS13.0 software to simulate the antenna. Simulation and test results show proper impedance adaptation in the two above bands and the proper gain is nearly 5dB in 915 MHz frequency band compare to the related works.
