With the introduction of information technology into the organization, the human resources management functions are changing. This change can be effective if it first identifies the activities that IT can do and provides the basis for these activities. Subsequently, human resource management has become familiar with the new requirements so that it can enhance the performance of the organization s human resources by utilizing the potential that IT can create. In this paper, we have tried first to provide a brief history of both issues of information technology and human resource management, and then explain the impact and implications of information technology on human resource management practices.
