چکیده مقاله:

Differentiation factors have been used widely to differentiate mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) to various cell types. However, some factors also damage them. Therefore, finding a way to differentiate the MSCs without factors will be valuable. Herein, we synthesized magnentoelectric nanofibers as the scaffold for the growth of MSCs and also to differentiate them to neural cells without factors. This nanocomposite takes the advantage of the synergies effect of the magnetostrictive filler, and the piezoelectric polymer, poly(vinylidene difluoride) (PVDF). We electronspun the piezoelectric PVDF polymer containing the magnetic nanoparticles to form magnetoelectric nanofibers. The piezoelectric and magnetoelectric properties of the composite are becoming of interest for neural cell differentiation. MTT and H&E assays confirmed the biocompatibility of the composite nanofiber. RT-PCR and ICC assays confirmed that the obtained magnetoelectric nanofiber has good potential for neural differentiation. The achievements of this study can provide a new way to fabricate magnetoelectric scaffolds of high performance to be used for neural cell differentiation with no need to chemical differentiation media and consequently avoiding their unwanted effects
