IntroductionHydroxyapatite (HAp) and Tri-calcium phosphate (TCP) are two common biomaterials that have been used as coatings on metallic implantsin orthopedic and dentistry fields. These bio ceramics are used because of their excellent properties. ObjectivesIn this research, a mixture of mentioned materials as included 3 layers (a HAp layer, a 50%HAp-50%TCP layer and a TCP layer) applied to the Ti alloy substrate. This coverage makes the implant that have so better properties than uncoated implant; one of these properties that changed is corrosion resistance; because this coat can obstructing the corrosion. MethodsIn order to determine the amount of corrosion resistance of the samples, A236 EG&G Electrochemical Impedance Device is used and tests were performed in a simulated body fluid (SBF). ResultsIt was found that, this item was improved and-in comparison to the uncoated implant-this amount for coated implant was upper. Then, FESEM was performed to reach the thickness of each layer before and after the corrosion test.
