چکیده مقاله:

Shape-memory polymers have made an important contribution to wide verity biomedical applications, but have yet to completely attain its potential as an alternative to minimally invasive procedures. These types of polymers can be tailored to exhibit targeted physical and chemical properties in response to external stimuli. Several literatures have reported light-induced variations in the shape of polymers and gels, including retrenchment, bending or bulk changes.A wide range of shape-memory polymers can be designed by introducing covalent binding groups, physically cross linkable junctions and specific molecules. In addition, developing an acceptable performance SMPs mostly need to understand the relationships among structure and chemical composition of a shape memory polymer and its shape memory properties.The purpose of this paper is to review polymers comprising cinnamic groups can be distorted and formed into prearranged forms – for example stretched films and tubes, curves or helixes- by ultraviolet light radiance. These new structures are steady for long time periods and then the original structure can be recovered through the remove of light.
