Application of land suitability is an important strategy to achieve optimal benefit maintaining the sustainability of the environment and achieve sustainable development. This research with the aim of land suitability evaluation was carried out for irrigated barley at Qazvin area with 16618 ha. Soil and climate data were collected from 61 soil profiles at research land and bagh kousar climatological Station, respectively. Barley of climate, soil and topographic characteristics were determined using Sys et al tables and suitability classification of this crop was done by a parametric method (square root). The results showed that climate suitability classes for barley are highly suitable (S1). Based on the square root of almost 54.02%, 37.01%, 1.21%, 4.03% and 3.72% respectively in the classes land highly suitable (S1), moderately suitable (S2), marginally suitable (S3), unsuitable (N) and unstudied (NS) for barley are. The main limiting factors for in barley cultivation in this area included soil depth, gravel percentage, salinity, alkalinity, and gypsum.
