چکیده مقاله:

This study is done in order to investigate the effect of ICT – based teaching method on the progress of literacy (reading) in two sections of reading literal texts and reading informational texts and it’s components on fourth grade female students of elementary schools of Dezful. The research method included a semi – experimental test with pre-test, post – test and control group and the statistical population included fourth grade female students of elementary schools in Dezful at 2013-14 and the statistical sample involved 58 students who were selected purposefully and classes were selected randomly. Data collection tools were standard tests of reading ( Perlz, 2001 ) in two parts of literal text and informational text. The results showed that ICT – based teaching method influences students' progress in reading literal text. The results of this study can be beneficial in recognizing difficulties and deficiencies, improving quality of educational system, and finding procedures to enhance reading skill in students. It also provided some grounds for programmers and decision – makers to be able to participate in improving the quality of learning through better recognition of problems and adopting suitable methods. It also helps education system and our teachers to enhance student’s literacy and their reading skills.
