چکیده مقاله:

Heavy metals are one of the factors threatening food security and the ecosystem health. The 96h LC50 test is a method to findamount of resistance and survival of different species in confronting with different concentrations of pesticides and other riskfactors. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the sensitivity of the two species of freshwater fish (common carp (Cyprinuscarpio) and Goldfish (Carassius auratus) than heavy metal cadmium. For this purpose, the fish were in a range of differentconcentrations of Cadmium (0, 0.2, 1, 2, 6, 10 and 15 ml/L). After compatibility time, 147 fish were selected randomly and weredivided into 7 treatments (0, 0.2, 1, 2, 6, 10 and 15 ml/L Cadmium chloride) and 3 repetitions (number of fish in each treatmentwas 21). Data analysis revealed that common carp was more sensitive to Cadmium toxicity and 96h LC50 was lower 8.845 ml/L.The 96h LC50 of Cadmium for Gold Fish was 9.202 ml/L. The results showed that cadmium chloride was highly toxic for freshwaterfishes; however, its toxicity was different for various species (p˂0.05).
