چکیده مقاله:

Background: One of the most important elements of every organization is its efficient and expert manpower. In an organization with individuals who have different responsibilities and opinions work with each other for a long time during the day and night. Based on this the general aim of this research is to compare the quality of work lifeamong two groups of athlete and non-athlete employees of the Oil Industry. Materials and Methods: By athlete staff we mean that staffs who exercises at least for 30 minutes a day. The research population in this research includes the athlete and nonathlete employees of the Ministry of Oil and purposive sampling has been used in this study. The data collection method is collecting data through similar books, articles, internet and theses as well as the life quality questionnaire of Walton. Data analysis has been performed in this way: the data has been gather and has been categorized into complete and interpretable data and for inferential statistics and testing the research hypothesis the statistical model of Kolmogorov–Smirnov and the independent Mann - Whitney test with the use of SPSS software ver. 18 have been used. For testing thevalidity of the research the Cronbach’s alpha has been calculated which is equal to 0.80. Results and Discussions: In the Ministry of Oil there is no significant differencebetween the quality of work life, fair and proper compensation, safe and healthy working condition, development of human capabilities, provision of growth and securityopportunity, social integration in the organization, rule of law in the organization and social dependency of work life among the athlete and non-athlete employees of theMinistry of Oil. Conclusion: This can be explained by the awareness of the both groups of the benefits and advantages of exercise or the high educational level or the environmental condition and that some studies should be conducted at large scales in this regard and in any way the role of exercise and sport in promotion of the health of the employees and the organizations is not hidden to anyone.
