SOLUTION OF NONLINEARVOLTERRA-HAMMERSTEIN INTEGRAL EQUATIONSUSING ALTERNATIVE LEGENDRE COLLOCATIONMETHOD

Alternative Legendre polynomials (ALPs) are used toapproximate the solution of a class of nonlinear Volterra-Hammersteinintegral equations. For this purpose, the operational matrices of integration and the product for ALPs are derived. Then, using thecollocation method, the considered problem is reduced into a setof nonlinear algebraic equations. The error analysis of the methodis given and the efficiency and accuracy are illustrated by applyingthe method to some examples.
