COMPARISON OF TENDENCY TOWARDS ADDICTION AND DELINQUENT BEHAVIORS AND AGGRESSION IN DROP OUT ADOLESCENTS AND STUDENT ADOLESCENTS

Background and Aim : Research findings suggest that 25% of students (one quarter of them) drop out every year. Droping out of school can have negative effects on their personal and social dimensions. Students negative experiences lead to negative attitudes and reduce greatly their chances of success in life. Research shows that there is a significant relationship between academic failure, home and school escape and the degree of social harm. The purpose of this study was to compare the tendency toward drug abuse and crime in drop out and non-drop out student.Methods : This study was a comparative research. The statistical population of the study was the students who had left school and others. A sample of 100 were selected and completed questionnaires on substance abuse tendency and delinquency questionnaireResults : The data were analyzed through independent sample t-test and the results showed that there was a significant difference between drop-out and non-dropout students .The findings showed that tendency toward drug abuse (p <0.05) and delinquent behaviors (p <0.04) were significantly higher in drop out students than other student.Conclusion : Freedom and lack of restriction, as well as lack of attachment to social control resources and easy access to narcotic drugs, lead to being in high-risk environments and increase the likelihood of adolescent tendencies toward abnormal behaviors
