THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SUBSIDY PROGRAM FOR THE TREATMENT OF ADDICTION IN CHANGING ATTITUDES AND ENCOURAGING PATIENTS TO BE TREATED IN DRUG DEPENDENCE TREATMENT CENTERS

Background and Aim : The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of the provision of addiction treatment subsidy on willingness to treatment and attitude towards addiction in selected addicts for treatmentMethods : In this pre-testpost-test with control group study among clients referring to Hour، Al Yasin and Ghoreyshi health centers in 2017-2018، samples of 30 persons were selected. Who were eligible to participate in the course of treatment، were divided into two equal groups of experimental and control. Before the onset of the course، a demographic questionnaire (including interest tests) and a test of attitude toward addiction were taken as a pretest and after the end of the treatment sessions were completed again (post-tests). Results : Data analysis was performed using SPSS-24 software. The results showed that the provision of subsidy therapy caused changes in attitude and willingness scores، and these results were significant at the Alfa level of 0.05. Due to the provision of therapeutic subsidies، the willingness to receive treatment and positive attitude towards addiction became lower and negative attitudes toward addiction were increasedConclusion : . It is concluded that the provision of treatment subsidies contributes to the effectiveness of treatment.
