چکیده مقاله:
Aim and Background: considering the increasing rate of applying cesarean in Iran, we aimed to report maternal and infants complications in cesarean deliveries. Method: A cross sectional study of complications of cesarean on all the women admitted to one of the private Persian hospital was conducted during 2016-2017. Data were collected from patients medical records and were analyzed using SPSS, 21 software. Results: The study population were 789 women with mean age of 32.58 (SD=4.45) and mean gestational age of 37.79 (SD=1.78). Among cesarean deliveries 74.5% were elective CS and the rest were emergency Cs. They had experienced changes in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and body temperature with mean of 3.37±38.50, 1.25±8.36, -.11±7.51, and -.34±5.51 respectively. Among newborns, Apgar score, photo therapy, and inpatient in NICU were significantly associated with type of delivery (p<0.05). However, Apgar score was not significantly affected by type of delivery after adjustment for other predictor factors. Conclusion: According to the high rate of maternal and neonatal complications among cesarean deliveries, suitable interventions are essential to increase the women s tendency for applying natural vaginal delivery.
