چکیده مقاله:

Buckling as the most probable deteriorative phenomena’s cause stopping operation and incurring too much cost for the repairing (or replacing in some cases) of some line pipes. Buckling is classified into two categories; local and global buckling. Global buckling occurs due to high pressure and temperature gradients along the pipeline length. The insufficient bending capacity of subsea with ovality in pipelinecross section cause local buckling.DNV-OS-F101 is recommended a criterion for load-controlled and displacement-controlled conditions. In this paper, ABAQUS Finite Element (FE) is developed to obtain the maximum stresses and maximum deflection induced by the external pressure. Then, DNV-recommended criterion for the local buckling of the subsea pipeline is applied to estimate the reliability index considering the uncertainty in three parameters (modulus of elasticity, pipeline wall thickness, water depth) in different in-service time of pipelines (by considering corrosive agents). It is concluded that FORM can be applicable for the reliability assessment of pipeline against local buckling (considering external overpressure only), furthermore, the variation of importance measurement (alpha importance) is too low during the service lifetime of pipeline that the same value of intact pipeline can be for both intact and corroded pipeline
