چکیده مقاله:

This study aims to consider effect of precision teaching on reading ability of dyslexia male students in third grade of primary school. Research method was semi pilot with pre-test and post-test plan. Population was male students of third grade in primary school. Sample included 30 students having dyslexia in Urmia city of Iran in academic year of 1394-1395 that was selected using judgmental sampling and divided into experiment and control groups randomly (15 students in experiment group and 15 in control group).Precision teaching was performed in experiment group. As data mining tool, reading test of third grade was used. Gathered data was analyzed by covariance analysis. Findings showed that precision teaching has effect on auditory perception/perception of reading, awareness and grammatical morphology, technics of analyzing sentences, awareness of words‘ beginning and repeat of meaningless words, recognition of rhyme of words, pronunciation of meaningful words, skill of reading meaningless words, short verbal memory of dyslexia students, speed and accuracy of reading in dyslexia male students of third grade in primary schools of Urmia city.In general, it can be concluded that focus on precision teaching as fundamental skills of reading ability could be an effective approach in treatment of dyslexia.
