Investigation of Factors Affecting Iran’s Petroleum Trade Using the MCDM Approach (Case Study: Ministry of Petroleum of Iran)

This research has been conducted aiming to evaluate the strategic factors affecting Iran’s petroleum trade using the MCDM approach. In terms of research category based on propose, this is an applied research. In terms of data collection, this is a descriptive and non-experimental study which among different kinds of descriptive research, this is a case-study research. The population includes ten experts in Ministry of Petroleum of Iran which the Expert Questionnaire has been provided to them. Based on the research conducted, the main criteria of the research include economic factors, increased positive interaction, holding joints commissions, energy security, and environmental factors which each of them included a number of sub-criteria. Data analysis process has been conducted applying AHP Method. According to the results, it was proven that increased positive interaction with a normalized weight of 0.246 is the first priority and on the other hand, the sub-criterion internalizing the externalities of fossil fuels with a final weight of 0.114, is the most important sub-criterion
