Cancer is cell disease that characterized by unlimited and uncontrolled proliferation of malignantcells that form tumors. Cancer is the second cause of mortality after cardiovascular diseases in theworld. It is predicted that the annual number of new cases reach in 2020 from 10 million to 15million. though, mental health cancer affects but seems to be the biggest issue at this time for thepatient, a sense of frustration and despair. Throughout history, various schools of anthropologyand psychology and research to provide solutions to human needs have given him. Spiritual studiesin psychology in the world is a serious matter and essential Spirituality is an important componentthat is increasingly attracted the attention of psychologists and mental health professionals. Mostpeople who diagnosis with cancer will experience a period of mental stress, which reduces thequality of life and daily functioning, as a result, due to the psychological burden that this disease isto them the need of spiritual intervention. Spirituality is a strong predictor for hope and mentalhealth, an important source of physical health and improvement disease. In fact, a matter that forintervention in cancer patients is necessary. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of spiritualintervention to promotion hope and mental health in cancer patients. During recent two decadesspiritual and religious interventions were employed by a large number of experts and clinicalpsychology in the treatment of cancer patients. The effectiveness of spiritual intervention has beenproven in many studies. As for essential role of spirituality in returning to normal life, for thesepatients is necessary to pay special attention to this issue. Therefore, it is suggested that in orderto comprehensive planning in health care - support and relief in patients with cancer, spiritualityand solidarity in psychotherapy as an important issue, to be considered
