چکیده مقاله:

TCF4 (ITF2 (immunoglobulin transcription factor 2)) transcription factor 4 gene encodes a protein that plays a role in transcription factor 4, a basic helix-loop-helix transcription factor. The encoded protein recognizes an Ephrussi-box ( E-box ) binding site ( CANNTG ) - a motif first identified in immunoglobulin enhancers. ITF2 gene mutation effects of tumorigenic properties is unknown. ITF2 gene is disabled by genetic and epigenetic mechanisms such as hypermethylation. To evaluate the frequency of methylation of ITF2 gene in patients with Colorectal cancer, the exon 32 methylation using specific PCR (MS-PCR) PCR and restriction enzyme (PER) was dependent. After examining 40 patients with Colorectal cancer by MS-PCR and PER hypermethylation in 29% and 57%, respectively, were found. Background check pathologic tissue samples of Colorectal cancer patients showed that the ITF2 gene inactivation may be performed in the early stages of cancer and epigenetic factors influencing the progression of cancer. Keywords: Colorectal cancer, methylation, ITF2 Gene , MS- PCR, PER
