چکیده مقاله:

Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal growth of cells with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. Nanoparticles (NPs) are particles which their size is less than 100 nm with asurrounding interfacial layer. in recent years much research has been conducted on the benefits of nanoparticles for curing cancer such as zinc oxide (Zn O), it has antibacterial, antioxidant and othereffects. This study was designed to investigate the cytotoxic Zn O NPs synthesis green method by use plant Rubia tinctorum on breast cancer cells (MCF7) by using MTT method. The MTT assay is acolorimetric assay for assessing cell metabolic activity. NAD (P)H-dependent cellular oxidoreductase enzymes may, under defined conditions, reflect the number of viable cells present. In our research, weuse MTT method to measure cytotoxicity effect of Zn O NPs on MCF7. The cells were exposed to concentrations (0, 10, 20, 40, 80 and 160 μg/ml) of the nanoparticles for 24, 48 and 72 hours. Theobtained results of the study the cytotoxic effect of Zn O NPs on MCF7 cells with IC50 about 38,38,40 μg/ml that incubation times of 24, 48 and 72 hours respectively. Studies show that toxicity depends onthe concentration of treatment. Zn O NPs inhibited the growth of breast cancer cells (MCF7). Therefore, it may be possible to use this Zn O NPs for cancer therapy
