چکیده مقاله:

In Iranian traditional medicine, the etiology of cancer is based on the humoral theories, and it is thought to be involved in the formation of blak bile( souda), especially burned souda. On the other hand, the role of nutrition in the development of cancer is also considered in Iranian medicine. In the Book of Canon of medicine of Ibn Sina, the carcinogenesis of some foods is clearly mentioned. This study is a review article in which sources of Iranian medicine, especially the books of Iranian great scientist Avicenna, as well as electronic resources including SID, GOOGLE SCHOLAR, PUBMED, were reviewed. Ibn Sina s Canon book 160 times used the term Saratan. 30 times means crayfish , and the rest mean cancer . The topic of cancer is its types, its etiology and its treatment. Treatment consisted of three categories: medicine, surgery, and diet. In the area of nutrition, excessive consumption of some foods, such as beef, lentils, eggplant, onions, etc., has contributed to the cancer, Also, in cancer patients, it is advised to consume some foods including young chicken, fresh milk, egg yolk, beetroot, fresh vegetables, almond oil, and so on. Although the etiology of cancer in modern medicine is completely different from complementary medicine, in the discussion of nutrition and treatment, the use of complementary medicine recommendations, especially Iranian medicine, can be of great help in the prevention and treatment of disease
