چکیده مقاله:

A physical and simple approach is presented to evaluation dynamic impedance of a pile group embedded in a layered elastic half space. In practice, a soil deposit may consist of multiple layers with different properties. The dynamic behavior of piles depends on the nature of the interaction between the piles and the surrounding soil. The soil–pile interaction effect modifies the stiffness of the piles and generates damping through energy radiation to infinity. The analytical tool is developed based on wave propagation principles in which cone model is used. In this model the three-dimensional wave propagation is thus represented by one-dimensional waves. The methods have been verified using available solution. It has been found that the cone model does not require formidable theoretical background, and instead the analysis based on cones offer acceptable results. The results obtained from the cone model are in good agreement with other reported results
