Room Air Temperature Reduction by Using Different Types of Thermal Insulation

The inappropriate consumption of energy during the last decades specifically in the air condition field due to the negative behavior of consumers has reflected not only on the economy but also on the environment and weather. The aim of this study is to reduce the cooling load inside the buildings by using thermal insulation. There are two items used through this paper, the first one is Velocicalc to measure the air temperature, air velocity and relative humidity, the second item is thermal vision camera (FLUKE) to record the profile temperature. This paper discussed the differential between the three materials of thermal insulations that cover the roof of the room from outside and monitor the difference of the temperature between outside and inside. The author closed three different materials of thermal isolation like woven foil, rock wool and glass wool, as well without insulation. The data present the woven foil is better insulation to reduce the heating load inside the room, the differential between outside and inside is 3 °C, the rock wool is 2.3 °C and the glass wool is 1.6 °C, while the outside temperature is 38.8 °C. The results observed that the thermal insulation woven foil is the best material to reduce the temperature inside the room.
