Volumetric and ultrasonic study of mixtures of 1,2-Butandiol with 2-phenylethanol and 2-Butanol at T= 298.15 - 323.15 K and atmospheric pressure

Densities and speeds of sound for binary mixture 1,2-butandiol with 2-phenylethanol and 2-butanol were measured over the entire range of composition and at six temperatures from 298.15K to 323.15K at5K interval and atmospheric pressure using a vibrating u-tube densimeter (DSA 5000). Also, the densities for pure compounds in the above mentioned temperature range were measured. From experimental data, the excess molar Volumes were calculated.The results have been used to discuss the nature and strength of intermolecular interactions in these mixtures. The values of excess volumes over the entire composition range were negative, And fitted with The Redlich-Kister equation.
