چکیده مقاله:

More than forty years, Hematopoietic stem cells (HSCs) have been used for bone marrow cell transplantation. In routine practice, HSCs obtained from bone marrow aspirate, however, these candidate cells are could be harvested from umbilical cord blood (CB) and peripheral blood. Due to their collecting methods, their easier storage approach, and their high number of harvested cells, CB had provided a pioneering source of HSCs in various medical centers. Development and progress in the use of hematopoietic stem cells obtained from two umbilical cords is also provides the possibility of administration of these cells for older children. In addition, more and easier access to both of autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic cells derived from cord blood can provide by the increase in the number and quality of available cord blood banks around the world. Besides hematological disorders, umbilical cord blood is also used in regenerative medicine, so that hematopoietic cells derived from these candidate cells are utilized for the treatment of neurological diseases such as autism, cerebral palsy, stroke, hearing loss and encephalopathy in clinical trials. Considering to obtaining outcomes from current experiments, it is proposed that allogeneic administration of HSCs derived CB could provide a beneficial effect in children with cerebral palsy. Also, the positive effect of autologous HSCs derived CB is verified on infants with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy by published results from clinical trials. The generation of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) from them is another aim of regenerative medicine for these candidate cells applications. These candidate cells are a promising resource for iPSCs generation. CB derived-iPSCs could be used as a significantly therapeutic option for treat a variety of disease
