چکیده مقاله:
In this paper, the optical properties of carbon films embedded by Ni nanoparticles using mosaic targets made of carbon and nickel with Ni surface areas 1.78 - 4.64 % were investigated. The atomic force microscopy (AFM) showed that the absorption edge in the films was controlled by distribution and size of Ni nanoparticles. It can be seen that films with Ni surface areas 3.92 % have minimum indirect optical band gap about 0.2 eV. Due to decreasing the void space between islands of Ni nanoparticles at 3.92 % films transform to a degenerating semiconductors which have a semimetal behavior and therefore they have resistivity with an increasing function of temperature in temperature range 15-500 K
