چکیده مقاله:

Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) and GABA receptors are ligand gated ion channels that can passsome ions through membrane and make a electrical signal after binding to a neurotransmitter and changingconformational. The effect of genetic factors in all epilepsy syndromes is undeniable and for this reason wedecided to review related nAChRs and GABA receptors mutations. However, the mechanisms of how thesemutations cause epilepsy and their clinical symptoms are complex and unclear but new advancements in geneticaland molecular methods help us to find out how this relationship is. In this review we study 50 article andsummarize mutation and molecular mechanisms. After nAChRs and GABA mutations some changes occur suchas alteration in ion permeability, desensitization, channel opening time, affinity, expressions and signaling, hyperexcitability and dynamic of molecules. These data and changes after mutation are excellent achievementsfor epilepsy treatment.
