چکیده مقاله:

Migraine is a common chronic inflammatory neurological disease with progressive and episodic course. Theetiology of migraine is still unclear, but much evidence shows a role of inflammation in pathogenesis of it.Omega 3 fatty acids are very important component of cell membranes phospholipids. Among the omega-3PUFA, those derived from fish oil like eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaenoic acid have more biologicalpotent than linoleic acid (ALA). Its intake is related with decrease concentrations of CRP, pro inflammatoryeicosanoids, cytokines, chemokines and other inflammation biomarkers. Many of clinical trials show the benefitseffect of dietary supplementation with fish oils in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases in humans, including,Parkinson’s disease ,amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), AD (ALZHEIMER DISEASE), multiple sclerosis andmigraine headaches so omega-3 fatty acids as an alternative therapy can be potentially important. This reviewfocuses on the, pathogenesis of migraine, with an emphasis on the role of omega 3 fatty acid and its molecularmechanisms.
