چکیده مقاله:
Introduction: The prevalence of obesity and overweight in many developed and developing societies is increasing due to changes in people s lifestyles and is one of the major health problems of today s societies. Since many eating habits and patterns develop during childhood and remain for the rest of one s life, proper nutrition during this period will cause the child to grow and evolve and prevent chronic diseases in adulthood. Obesity, while reducing work efficiency, exposes the child to high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, etc., and is a prerequisite for chronic adulthood. Increased urban life, widespread television advertising, packaging attractions, and lack of parental nutrition awareness are major causes of snack consumption among children. Results and conclusion: Among the snacks, biscuits and drinks are healthier for families and consumed the most. While consumption of natural juices has beneficial effects on lipid profile, body mass index, and vitamin and nutrient intake, consuming industrial drinks with added artificial sweeteners and mere consumption of energy and without the necessary nutritional value causes obesity in children. . Drinks are also a major source of added sugar in the adult diet, which, in addition to obesity, can also cause diabetes. And since the industry also aims to generate economic profits and not focus on nutritional value, an arrangement should therefore be put in place to direct producers attention to producing health-oriented products that are pure products of Juice shouldalso be provided and schools and mass media should collaborate and educate in addition to promoting awareness of the importance of introducing healthy snacks to children.
