چکیده مقاله:

Introduction: Crohn s disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory condition that can occur throughout the gastrointestinal tract. The main object of this study was to assess the effect of Crohn s disease exclusion diet (CDED) in children with Crohn s disease. Methods: We studied the existing literature on the effect of exclusive enteral nutrition (EEN), Crohn’s disease exclusion diet (CDED), a whole-food diet combined with partial enteral nutrition (PEN) and microbiome or intestinal permeability. Results: CD patients with serious nutritional deficits (weight loss > 10% in the last 3-6 months, body mass index <18.5 kg/m 2 , or albumin levels <30 g/L) benefit from combination of CDEDplus PEN. Analysis of the current data now recommend that a 12 week interval is useful for changes in the fecal microbiome and also Harvey Bradshaw Index (HBI) and CRP decreased and albumin increased. Conclusion: Dietary therapy including partial enteral nutrition with an exclusion diet appears to lead to high remission rates in early mild to moderate luminal Crohn’s disease in children.
