چکیده مقاله:

Light olefins are important components for petrochemical industries and demand for their production is increasing rapidly. Methanol can be efficiently produced from syngas obtained by natural gas reforming. Thus, methanol to olefins technology connects natural gas to the largest commodity petrochemicals which can be a notable opportunity for Iran considering its high natural gas resources. Silicoaluminophosphate, SAPO-34, molecular sieve is reported to be the most promising catalyst for MTO process. In this research, the effect of combination of templates on SAPO-34 synthesis and methanol to light olefins are reviewed. In the recent decade, implementation of mixed templates in SAPO-34 synthesis has attracted much attention from economical view point to decrease catalyst preparation costs. Three sets of mixed templates were taken in to account in the SAPO-34 synthesis, being TEAOH/MOR, TEAOH/DEA, and TEAOH/TEA. Structural, morphological and acidity variations are the most discussed properties in this field. Among different optimized ratios of mixed templates, TEAOH/TEA mixture with just 10% of TEAOH exhibits the most cost-effective catalyst. The best catalytic performance in MTO process ascribed to the catalyst synthesized with an optimized ratio of the TEAOH/Mor mixture (light olefins selectivity about 85% after 12 h time on stream
