چکیده مقاله:

In this study, basic concepts and important parameters in coating process in fluid bed, various nozzles and fluid beds that is used in industry are described. Fluid bed dryers in Pharmaceutical & Food industry, have many uses. Fluidized bed reactors in chemical engineering field, are relatively new systems. Working with them is hard and there is a little experimental information in this field. So on this type of systems was studied and researched. At first the device, is investigated by various papers and then designed and built over several months. Batch fluid bed system in this work, was chosen for ease and operation include two stages, coating and drying particles in the fluid bed. Also, there are other methods such as computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation, for considering of this system.In this work, for time constraint, a few tests are done on the system. After solving the problems of system, numbers of experiments are designed for evaluation of system performance. For reduction and investigation of experiments, Respond Surface Method (RSM) by Minitab software was used. Flotation pattern of particles and fluid air flow were investigated and liquid volumetric flow rate, atomization air and the air for fluidizing particles were variables. Experiment results showed that the coating value is directly proportional to liquid flow rate and varies inversely with air flow rate. Experimental equation and Graphs were derived by RSM and optimized operational areas for better performance of system were determined. The results and the experimental curves obtained in the study were collected at the end of this paper
