Preparation of PEG-PCL/ DEX-PCL/DEX-AAc based polymersome

In this work,PCL-13000 was synthesized by ring opening polymerization and grafted to PEG-6000 and the final di-block copolymer was used to form outer layer of the polymersome. DEX- 6000 was surface grafted by ring opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone monomer with active hydroxyl group of Dextran used as initiator and Sn(Oct)2 as catalyst. Dex-PCL was used as the inner layer of the polymersome. Dex-35000 was functionalized by acrylic acid to cure the polymersome core and the formed polymersome was stabilized. A defined composition of dextran with PEG and synthesized block copolymers were mixed to form an aqueous two phase system to perform the directed self- assembly.
