چکیده مقاله:

Zeolitic imidazolate framework known as ZIF-8, a subclass of microporous metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) materials. The advantage of the ZIF-8 is that its structure is composed of zinc metal centers tetrahedrally coordinated with methylimidazole linkers in 3D arrangement. In this report, ZIF-8 has been synthesized successfully and simply via ultrasound irradiation under mild condition, ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure for diff erent reaction times of 0.5 and 1 h, respectively. Crystalline characterized by using analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET). The results showed sonochemical synthesis of MOFs is a green, environmentally friendly, more effective alternative approach and reduced the reaction time compared to conventional hydrothermal method, which needs long time (several days) and high temperature. Sonochemical technique created significantly smaller particles converted to hydrothermal treatment, but few differences in textural properties were discovered in our research. The crystals of ZIF-8 samples exhibited high BET surface area.
