چکیده مقاله:

Climate plays a major role in vegetation conditions. Precipitation and temperature are two of most important of the climate factors for vegetation cover. The aim of this research is the investigation of relationship between climate factors and vegetation index in different land uses. For this purpose the MODIS images, precipitation and temperature data during 2000 to 2016 were used to study the spatio-temporal change characteristics of Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI) on the Ilam province in Iran to analyses the relationship between precipitation and temperature and EVI. In this study the changes of precipitation, temperature and EVI and also the correlation coefficients between these parameters were calculated for each pixel in ArcMap 10.3. The result showed that there is a significant and strong positive relationship between EVI and precipitation in the rangeland, meadow and drylands with medium density vegetation cover in the north and northwest of the study area, and there is good relationship between temperature and EVI.
