Failure probability and reliability of structures are very important in structural design of offshore platforms, specifically when the variables are greatly random. Sensitivity analysis is a primary step to perform reliability analysis. In this paper, sensitivity of some parameters of offshore platforms subjected to extreme environmental condition is studied. In this regard, parameters such as wave height, surface current velocity, wind velocity, drag and inertia coefficients are considered as random variables. Tornado diagram analysis is applied to perform sensitivity analysis. Nonlinear collapse analysis (pushover method) is performed to obtain the response of platform under different input values. SACS programwhich is a finite element program is used to perform pushover analysis. Reserve Strength Ratio (RSR) is considered as a representation of structural response. Also, in-place analysis is used to show the sensitivity of base shear to input parameters. It is concluded that among random parameters, wave height is the most dominant parameter in the response of offshore platforms due to extreme environmental condition and drag coefficient also has a relatively great influence in response rather than the other three parameters
