چکیده مقاله:

The increasing level of heavy metals pollutes in the environment represents a serious threat to human health. Magnetic and chiral PAMAM dendrimer supported on Fe3O4 can be used as an absorbent for removal of heavy metals such as lead from the aqueous media. Its structure was characterized, by FTIR, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). Amino-functionalized PAMAM coated Fe3O4 magnetite nano adsorbent exhibited superparamagnetic behavior and strong magnetization at room temperature, also high adsorption capability for metal ions from aqueous solutions via the chelation mechanisms. The efficiency of the nano-adsorbent in separation of the metals was evaluated by atomic absorption technique. The results showed high stability and reusability of dendrimer for efficient removal of lead ion. The Pb(II) loaded nano-adsorbent can be easily recovered from aqueous solution with magnetic separation and regenerated readily by acid treatment
