Find new ways to compete in competitive markets is essence of strategic thinking and marketing strategy. It has always been of interest to scholars and economic scholars and in recent decades has been of interest to management scholars. In this regard the research with the study of the effect of knowledge management processes on gaining competitive advantage in the banking system is done. The study was descriptive-correalation in nature and is applied research. Our study population included all employees of Maskan Bank in Ilam with the use of random sampling of 68 people selected as sample. A standard questionnaire was used to collect the data. To evaluate the hypothesis that includes a main hypothesis and six sub-hypotheses spss 12 software was used. The results indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between knowledge management and competitive advantage of Maskan Bank in Ilam province.
