چکیده مقاله:

AbstractEffect of tranexamic acid on bleeding after femural fracture surgery Introducrion: Orthopedic surgeries are associated with bleeding and require bloodtransfusions. Tranexamic acid is a drug for reducing these complications during surgery. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of tranexamic acid on bleeding duringfemoral fractures surgery. Methods: In this clinical trial study, 90 patients with hip fracture under open surgeryafter written consent were examined. Demographic variables such as age and sex andclinical variables such as hemoglobin and hemorrhage before and after surgery and rateof thromboembolism were recorded in patients. Data were analyzed by SPSS softwareversion 23 and analyzed by statistical tests. The significance level was less than 0.05.Results: In terms of hemoglobin changes in subjects who did not have bloodtransfusions; in the control group, hemoglobin before and after surgery decreased 1.680.43 ± mg / dl and in the case group it was 0.31±0.91. This difference was statisticallysignificant between the two groups in the case and control groups (P <95% ,0.001CI:0.6- ;0.96-). Hemoglobin before and after operation in subjects without bloodtransfusion during operation was 0.91 ± 12.02 and 0.89 ± 10.8 mg / dL (P <0.001) andin patients with transfusions during surgery it was 0.99 ± 11.37 and 0.63 ± 9.83 mg /dL (P <0.001). The rate of bleeding during the operation in the control and case groupwas 121.74 ± 513.78 and 68.08 ± 325.11 ml (P <0.001) and the rate of bleeding in 6hours after the operation in the control group and the case 9.60 ± 36.22 and 22.898.95 ± ml (P <0.001) respectively. The mean of bleeding during 6 hours after surgerywas evaluated between two groups of case and control in different age groups andbetween the two sexes. As can be seen, the difference between the case and controlgroups was significant in terms of age and gender.the rate of thromboembolism wasnot significant between two groups. Conclusion: Based on this study, tranexamic acid has beneficial effects in reducingbleeding and intraoperative blood transfusion in patients undergoing femoral fracturessurgery and has no effecte on thromboembolism.
