The study of wife maintenance after divorce in Iran and English law.

Wife maintenance after divorce in Iran law fundamentally differs from English Law from nature point of view. Because, in Iran law husband has no obligation about wife maintenance after divorce, which was imposed by concluding of permanent marriage. But Iran civil code entitles wife for maintenance in two exceptional cases, first in revocable divorce period, provided to non shrewishness and the other in irrevocable divorce if wife be pregnant until childbirth. Whereas in English law, there is no maintenance for wife after divorce like what there is in Iran law. In English Law maintenance of wife has a general concept. That is spouses agree and accept a solution about their assets and properties and the courts judge with respect to the parties solution and conditions.
